This time next week will be the last day of comedy at Altitude Christmas!
We’ll spend the morning on the slopes (they are looking the most beautiful they have ever been at the minute!) to get in our last session of skiing and boarding.
As it’s the last day, we recommend treating yourself to a beautiful lunch at the breathtaking Schneekarhutte, nestled next to Red 7 on the Penken.
Then you have the full day to indulge in a spa session to recuperate after a long week. The rooftop pool at Mannis has some of the best views in Mayrhofen so you can enjoy them as you soak.
It’s National Christmas Jumper day so don’t forget to wear yours!
At 6pm, we’ll be closing the main street of the town for the incredible Festival of Lights. We’ll be lighting up Mayrhofen with a parade of breathtaking fire structures, while the sound of traditional Austrian choirs fill the air.
After the festival of lights has finished its procession, we will head to the Strass Sports Lounge for the final comedy gala of the week! You can expect an amazing line up comedy, with extra mayhem, surprise guests and sing-alongs. Your MC Andrew Maxwell will be wearing his best lederhosen and joined by the hilarious Barry Castagnola. From International Impro Allstars, Ian Coppinger will have you laughing your ski socks off, and the accomplished Nick Cody will be back for his last set of the week. Glenn Wool will join in the madness, before Muggins and Cream (Kai Humphries and Daniel Sloss) bring us their exclusive-to-Altitude on stage double act.
Altitude Christmas will end with a bang – we have two of the biggest, funniest, and most lively musical acts on the planet to play us out. Miguelito, Juan Erection and Archerio of The Cuban Brothers will have you dancing, singing and in tears of laughter. Then finally Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson of Oh My God! It’s The Church will lead us into a church service with a difference – where you’ll be baptized in absinthe and made to dance with the devil himself! HALLELUJAH!
As it’s the clowns final night in Mayrhofen, we can only apologise in advance for their antics after the shows finish on Friday. Expect to see them stumbling back to their hotel in the early hours of the morning after publicy shaming themselves in the pub with a game of strip table football.
If you are still around on Saturday, Rise and Fall festival will take place on Saturday at 1pm on the Ahorn (read about it here).
That night in the Arena Nightclub DJs Meonmeown, Crissy Criss, Erb N Dub, Jessica Van Der Weert will be hosting a drum and bass night to officially kick off the ski season.
