No-one could be more thrilled about Altitude’s first ever Christmas edition than co-founder Andrew Maxwell. Ireland’s most knowledgeable and shouty comedian will return with his intrepid social comedy and his world-famous lederhosen. Let’s just hope he doesn’t spoil them again…
Maxwell has starred in John Bishop’s Only Joking, Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, Dave’s One Night Stand and Ex on the Beach.
His fiery wit will melt your heart while he relentlessly pokes you with his funny bone.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Macauley Culkin – but we couldn’t afford him so we’ve booked cheap lookalike Daniel Sloss instead. Scotland’s comedy prodigy and Altitude’s birthday boy Daniel Sloss started performing stand-up at the tender age of 16. Now an entire decade on, his success is snowballing out of control. As well as tickling the schnitzels of audiences worldwide with his unmissable live tours, his TV accolades include Conan (making 4 guest appearances in one year- the only stand-up ever to achieve this), 2015’s John Bishop Show, Sunday Night at the Palladium and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
Look out for this talented young clown hurtling down the mountain on his snowboard this festival, most probably donning a penguin costume.
“The laughter rose to hysteria” – The Herald
If winter sports, amazing comedy, beautiful scenery and unlimited Weissbier aren’t enough to make you feel wonderful this January – then Kai is on hand to teach you a thing or two about life. The only comedian optimistic enough to still believe in Santa Claus – his 2015 Edinburgh Fringe show, ‘How to Be Happy’ wowed audiences and critics alike. Kai’s supreme wit and infectious happiness make it impossible for him not to spread the genuine joy he experiences in sharing his stories and jokes with a crowd.
“Impossible to dislike and side-splittingly funny” Fest
“Endearing and funny” Edinburgh Evening News
The International Improv Allstars
Altitude wouldn’t be Altitude without the Improv Allstars at Après-ski. The format is simple. Three sexy, sexy guys improvise a full hour of comedy based entirely on your suggestions. In the capable hands of these seasoned improvisers, anything can happen. And it will. Especially if a guest comedian slightly less experienced in the art of improv is mercilessly hurled into the mix.
Andy Smart (Comedy Store Players), Steve Frost (Who’s Line Is It Anyway?) and Ian Coppinger (The Panel) will bring you a show that can only happen in that way on that night that once.
“Joyfully funny” – Three Weeks
“It’s hard not to get swept up in the show’s infectious nature” The List
