Get ready for a laugh avalanche as this award-winning comedian shreds the stage with his trademark wit and razor-sharp observations.

Think you've seen it all? Think again. Dara's not your average ski-bunny. He's a seasoned veteran, a master of the avalanche of punchlines, a sherpa guiding you through the blizzard of side-splitting insights. From hosting iconic shows like Mock the Week, Taskmaster, Robot Wars and Stargazing Live to conquering comedy continents with his latest show, Voice of Reason, Dara's done it all.

He's climbed Mount Mockery, traversed the treacherous terrain of stand-up specials, and even scaled the Everest of awards shows, hosting the BAFTA Games Awards with the grace of a mogul champion. But this April, he'll be carving a new path – a hilarious one – into the heart of Altitude 2024.

So, prepare your funny bones for an epic black diamond of comedy. Dara's set is a powder-fresh mix of sharp wit, insightful rants, and unexpected turns that'll leave you breathless with laughter.

The Times: "If you want a comic who can hold an audience in the palm of his hand for two hours, here's your man."

The Evening Standard: "Sharp wit from a superfit mind."

DANIEL SLOSS

We’re shocked to say that it has been 7 years since Altitude favourite Daniel Sloss performed at the festival! It’s almost as if he’s been off snowballing into an even bigger internationally acclaimed and award-winning comedian and a global household name.

Safe to say we cannot wait to have him back in Mayrhofen, drinking jager and riding his snowboard, where he belongs.

To date he’s created 13 solo shows, was the biggest ticket selling comedian in the world for 2021, has performed seven New York seasons off-Broadway, appeared on U.S. TV’s ‘Conan’ ten times and broken box-office records at the world’s biggest arts festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

His two hour-long specials for Netflix, ‘Daniel Sloss – Live Shows’ (‘DARK’ and ‘Jigsaw’), were released in 2018, streaming in 190 countries and 26 languages.

2021 saw Daniel’s first book “Everyone You Hate is Going to Die” published by Penguin Random House prestige imprint Knopf.

“Brilliant. A master craftsman” - Time Out

“Simply world class. Hilarious” - Herald Sun

PAUL SMITH

Get ready to experience the jaw-aching, laugh out loud comedy from one of the UK's biggest selling comedians. It's the way he tells them ;)

Paul’s comedy success has skyrocketed in recent years, and he’s gone from being the infamous resident MC with the sharpest tongue at Liverpool’s famous Hot Water Comedy Club, to selling out arenas across the UK with his solo shows.

The clips of his audience interactions have been so widely shared that now he literally owns the internet. This Liverpudlian joker won Liverpool's New Comedian of the Year" and even skied into the finals of "The Leicester Comedian of the Year" but these awards pale in comparison to his compering success online globally and his colossal UK tours and festival appearances.

We are beyond thrilled that he is gracing our festival with his Altitude debut in 2024. His blizzard of rapid-fire audience interactions, put downs and hilarious stories from his everyday life promise to have you rolling around in laughter. Expect hysterics from start to finish - you won't want to miss a minute.

"One of the best live stand-up comedians working today" - Brett Vincent (Altitude boss)

.

ZOE LYONS

An Altitude without Zoe is like a cheese fondue without wine – against tradition, absolutely unthinkable & half the fun.

This lady is one of our absolute favourite clowns, and those who have seen her sets will understand why. Always original, always seamless & always reducing the audience to tears of laughter, snorts & hysterics. She’s conquered just as many comedy awards as she has glaciers, and has delighted audiences around the globe.

If you’ve not seen Zoe Lyons on TV, it’s most likely that you don’t own one, as she’s been such a regular on our screens, with appearances including Mock the Week, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, The Paul O'Grady Show, The Wright Stuff, Room 101, Dave's One Night Stand and QI. She’s also hosted her own TV quiz show Lightning, and for those who prefer the wireless, you will have had your ears tickled by her on Clive Anderson's Chat Room (BBC Radio 2), PMQ with Andy Parsons (BBC Radio 4), 4 Stands Up (BBC Radio 4), The Jon Richardson Show (BBC 6 Music), The Christian O'Connell Solution (BBC Radio 5 Live), Jo Caulfield Won't Shut Up (BBC Radio 4) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4).

Can she kick it? Well yes, we know she can. Can she make it down a mountain in one piece? Well that’s another question and one which we’re all excited to find out. We do know one thing though, armed with an avalanche of razor-sharp gags and comedic ice picks, Maisie is going to have you laughing your aches and pains away.

“Phenomenal” - The Scotsman

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

 MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

Mountain-mad Marcus is the master of satirical comedy, and is as at home on the slopes as he is on the stage.
It’s snow wonder he’s won so many awards for his comedy, this jester can skilfully navigate any topic into a side-splitting story, whether it’s politics, religion, women’s magazines or attempting to come to terms with his own middle-classness.

When he’s not poking us with his funny bone on Radio 4, Marcus can regularly be seen on our screens with credits including Celebrity Masterchef (BBC1), Argumental (DAVE), The Late Edition and I've Never Seen Star Wars (BBC FOUR), Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE), QI (BBC TWO), Sorry I've Got No Head (BBC ONE), The Late Edition (BBC FOUR), and the 11 O'Clock Show (Channel 4).

“Marcus Brigstocke is one of the cleverest and most engaging stand-ups you'll ever see” - The Mirror

ANDREW MAXWELL

ANDREW MAXWELL

Andrew Maxwell is such an Altitude veteran that he’s managed to wear his way through TWO pairs of the finest quality lederhosen since it all began (just ask him what happened to the first…)

His stand up is a blizzard of personal antidotes, shrewd political deliberations and character portrayals.

Credits include a stint in the I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! jungle (ITV), BBC Radio 4 (News Quiz, Welcome to Wherever You Are, Public Enemies), Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE), Have I Got News for You (BBC ONE), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC ONE) and Mock the Week (BBC TWO); and to a whole new generation he is the cheeky narrator on MTV's Ex on the Beach.

“One of the best comics around” - Time Out

“Infuriatingly excellent…he delivers a superb set” - Sunday Times

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

SCOTT BENNETT

After starting comedy in late 2009, Scott is a stand-up comedian and writer whose star is most definitely on the rise and it's an absolute pleasure to pop his Altitude Cherry in 2024.

During the lockdown of 2020, Scott pioneered the viral hit, Stand up from the Shed, a weekly topical live streamed stand up show from his actual garden shed. The show achieved national coverage in the press, Sky News, BBC News and Five Live. He won the Comics Comic awards Scott was voted “Best Act” a prestigious award decided by comedians and promoters in the industry.

In 2021 he recorded his debut for Live at the Apollo BBC1. You will have heard him as a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Likely Dads and Elephant in the Room with Sarah Millican. He also appeared on The Summer Festival with Daliso Chaponda, The Comedy Club with Arthur Smith, and Knock Knock with Helen Lederer. In 2018, he also featured on the BBC One show, Live from The Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2022 he was nominated as Best Club Comedian in the Chortle award and was chosen to do a support slots for Jason Manford and John Bishop.

“Great material, great delivery, a very funny man” Rob Brydon

ANDREW MAXWELL

EMMANUEL SONUBI

We’ve managed to tear Emmanuel Sonubi away from his avalanche of TV appearances to join us once again for Altitude 2024.

Since we last saw him, his stardom has been hurtling faster than a skier on the Harakiri, with another sold out Edinburgh Fringe run (and ANOTHER Comedy Award nomination), a full UK tour of his solo show and him hosting Live at the Apollo. Plus, he’s been all over our screens with appearances on QI, Have I Got News for You, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains, Alan Davies; As Yet Untitled and mountain more. And it's made him so humble we're surprised he'll be able to fit his head through those mountains. We do know something though - he can definitely fit those legs through  ;)

His tales of the past interactions as a bouncer in East London, the pranks he enjoys playing and his questionable upbringing will melt your icy hearts and have tears running down your cheeks.

“If you don't see him now for a tenner, you won't be able to smugly tell your mates about it when they're paying £50 for a crap seat at the O2“ – Jason Manford

"The bloke has got funny bones. He's incredibly likeable despite looking like he could snap you in two" - Romesh Ranganathan

“Emmanuel is so incredibly funny, and I’m not just saying that because I’m scared of him” – Joel Dommett

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

KAI HUMPHRIES

Our favourite Geordie snowboarder is back and he’s posher than ever! He’s been bragging about climbing out of the council estate trenches to reach lower middle class status where he now uses different types of glasses for different types of alcoholic beverages. AND he has a dog which hasn’t been put on the Dangerous Dog list, so he must be posh.

KIDDING, he’s as scummy and funny as ever (phew) - if you’ve seen Kai before, you will have been swept up by his easygoing, happy go lucky demeanour, where the twinkle in his eye belies the absolutely outrageous stuff he is saying. The much nicer other half of Daniel Sloss has been all over the world with Daniel but now he’s back where he belongs, with all his many Altitude wives, and he’s always in the market for some more.

“Superb!... had folk almost falling off their chairs and collapsing with laughter” - Fife Today

“Phenomenally funny…A fantastic comic who is smart, funny, and crude all at once… perpetually upbeat charisma, pushing and pulling us between laughter and empathy” - BroadwayBaby

“Sunny friendliness and impossible likeability that makes his rude humour feel mischievous and thoroughly inoffensive… hilarious!” - ThreeWeeks

ANDREW MAXWELL

BARRY MURPHY

We are thrilled to say that after becoming an audience favourite with some utterly genius sets in his 2023 Altitude debut year, we’ve persuaded Barry Murphy to come back again in 2024!

Barry has reduced audiences world-wide to tears of laughter with his masterful comedy and hosting skills. Whether as his German alter ego Günther, or as his surreal and wonderful self, Barry is simply not to be missed*

Barry Murphy is often remembered for the six years he spent as a member of the cult comedy trio, Mr Trellis, with Kevin Gildea and Ardal O Hanlon. He is also the co-founder of the Comedy Cellar – Ireland’s longest running comedy venue.

“One of the 10 Kings of Irish Comedy in the last 20 years” – Hot Press

“Easily my favourite Irish comedian” – Louis C.K.

"Laugh-a-loud funny. He deserves to be bigger than Riverdance and The Corrs put together" - Irish Times

*all the nice comments about Barry were sponsored by Sun Blinds

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

NINA GILLIGAN

One of the other acts making their Altitude debut in 2024, is the outstanding and current 'Best Club Comedian' (Chortle Awards)... Nina Gilligan!

We hope she doesn’t pack her hoards of comedy awards in her suitcase, as if she does she’ll cause delays at customs. This fabulous comedian has been crowned Chortle’s Best Club Comedian 2023, Northwest Comedian of the Year 2023, Yorkshire Comedian of the Year 2022, and Leicester Mercury Comedy Award Winner 2021, and so is rapidly rising through the comedy ranks.

You get to engulf yourself in the never ending punchlines which can be sometimes outrageous, always hilarious, delivered with a charming, loveable persona which belies an acerbic wit.

“A bolshier Mrs Merton - she’s not one to suffer fools lightly so watch out for a razor-sharp wit used at will” - The Skinny

“Brilliant, an outstanding comic” - Toby Foster (Phoenix Nights)

“Jonny Vegas meets Joan Rivers” - Smug Roberts

ANDREW MAXWELL

MARK NELSON

Next on the bill is another of our Altitude audiences’ favourite acts - it’s the spectacular Mark Nelson!

A comedian who goes boldly goes where snowman has gone before, with a mix of incredibly dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners. His like-ability is disarming and has audiences laughing hysterically at things they really shouldn’t be laughing at.

Mark is a multi-award-winning comic, frequently both winning and being nominated for ‘Best Headliner’ at the Scottish comedy awards. Noteably he won the coveted title of ‘2021 Best UK Circuit Stand Up’, and is very much in-demand as a headlining act across the UK and beyond. He also regularly supports acts such as Jason Manford, Jim Jefferies, Russell Kane and more on tour.
He has no gimmicks, relies on no frills—his work is just consistently top-quality comedy and pure unadulterated stand-up of the highest order.
If only he was as cool as his kid.

“Stealth delivery means you find yourself laughing before you’ve taken in quite how outrageous what he’s saying is” – Fest

“I could listen to Nelson all night…never lets his show drag for a second” – Scotsman

“Remarkably accomplished…blistering stage presence” – Sunday Times

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

ROB ROUSE

Next bringing the belly laughs to Mayrhofen this April is one of comedy’s most lively, loveable and dynamic performers, Rob Rouse!

Rob won Channel 4’s Prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival in way back in 1998, and since has become known as one of the top comic storytellers and performed all over the world.

The Ex-Geography teacher has been described critically as “A born clown”, those who really know him may lovingly use the word ‘idiot’. Either way, Rob always leads us on an irresistibly hilarious journey of enforced introspection and inspired rantings.

You mayrecognise him from 8 out of 10 cats, Spoons, The Friday Night Project, Celebrity Juice, Dave’s One night stand, John Bishop’s Only Joking, Live at the Comedy store, maybe collecting one of his wife’s eBay purchases from your garage or perhaps you’ve seen him at one of his 8 Edinburgh fringe shows or 3 UK tours.

“His brilliantly daft gags make Rob Rouse somebody with whom you’d happily blunder into the unknown” - Three Weeks

“Strong flavours of Vic Reeves, Rouse zings with unrestrained silliness” - Chortle

ANDREW MAXWELL

TAMER KATTAN

We really are spoiling you with new acts for 2024!

The next clown in our crammed clown cable car is multi-award winning international comedian, Tamer Kattan. Tamer Kattan is a comedian who bleeds comedy. It’s not just what he does, it’s who he is. His comedy is more than brilliant. It is deep, thoughtful, and hard-earned. His humour is rooted in his uncommon real-life experiences and perspective on the world.
Tamer’s comedy brings people together by making them laugh & think at the same time.

With 3 year+ residencies in LA, NYC, and London, Tamer scratched his way to headline in all the world’s toughest (& best) comedy scenes.
This unexpected, American style standup meets global perspective has grabbed the comedy industry’s attention, and awards, including The World Series of Comedy, Comedy Knockout on truTV, “Best of Fest” at 8 different festivals and TV + Radio credits including BBC, SkyTV, Fox, Hulu, Netflix and Amazon.

He received rave reviews at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival and most recently, had a performance on Seth Rogans Hilarity for Charity event alongside Todd Glass and Hannibal Buress.

ANDREW MAXWELL

JACK GLEADOW

Shout it from the mountain tops, as Jack Gleadow is finally popping his Altitude cherry in spring 2024.

Award-winning, stand-up comedian and Hull local, Jack is one of the most unique performers on the UK Comedy circuit today. He takes his inspiration from the golden era of variety, with the use of sounds, stories, jokes and a scooter.

In the words of Leicester Comedy Festival, after winning the prestigious 2018 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award, “Jack bowled over the judges with his quirky set; a delightful blend of audience participation, wordplay and physical comedy.”

Jack is also the winner of 2017’s Amused Moose National New Comic, and more recently nominated for Chortle’s Best Newcomer and Leicester Comedy Festival’s Best New Show, both in 2019.

“A natural born performer with great stage presence who knows how to entertain” - David Blane

“All-round entertainment, Jack has a very bright future in entertainment ahead of him” - One4Review

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

LORI SMITH

Lori Smith is beyond excited to head to Mayrhofen this spring, and the feeling is mutual baby as we cannot WAIT to have her.

Lori has amassed thousands of followers thanks to her afable wit and side-splitting storytelling. You may know her from successful Youtube show & podcast “What’s the story with Paul & Lori”, which she co-hosts with fellow comedian (and husband) Paul Smith.

Let’s give her a right big warm Altitude welcome, and make sure you catch her now before she’s so famous you won’t be able to get hold of a ticket.

ANDREW MAXWELL

ANDRE VINCENT

Our next act to be announced for #AltitudeFestival24 is the brrrrilliant Andre Vincent!

Andre is as at home in the Mountains of Mayrhofen as a marmot – despite never setting foot on skis or a board.

He’s the proof that you don’t need to be into snowsports to have the best week of your life at Altitude – there’s so much else to do and see.

André is one of those rare entertainers who does it all. Comedian, actor, writer, director, presenter, singer, circus boy…a born show-off. This lay-by on the information superhighway hopes to explain why he has spent his life facing the opposite direction to everyone else in the room.

Over a truly impressive comedy career, he has played to audiences literally all around the world, (maybe even a few times over!) and appeared numerous times on TV, radio, theatre & festival stages.

“An improvising comedy genius” – The Guardian

“"He possesses the energy of Lee Evans with the improvisational Skills of Paul Merton" – The Times

“Ferociously funny” – The Sunday Times

MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

OH MY GOD! IT'S THE CHURCH (DJs)

Apreeees the Lord! We’ve managed to convince insane preacher the Right Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson and the demented Sister Mary Lou from Oh My God! It’s The Church to return again for 2024 and bring the party out to Mayrhofen with more of their incredible live DJ sets.

The Reverend is a self-proclaimed Saviour and the leader of this new religious revolution. Trashy and rude and quite regularly nude, if Hulk Hogan and Dolly Parton had a kid and raised it in a trailer park, you might have something akin to Sister Mary Lou.
Their mission from gawd is to bring people together through funk, soul, disco and their holy water- absinthe…lots and lots of absinthe.

Do you need saving? If so, spread the word and bring your own congregation to come and be blessed, baptised and all leave believers together from the pentecostal party that leaves everyone on their knees begging for more.

“Sinfully Good Fun” - The Scottish Metro

THE ORIGINAL SILENT DISCO

What’s the best way to keep warm on a mountain? No not thermals, it’s throwing some shapes with the Original Silent Disco crew!

Our mountain top silent discos are the ultimate fun that you can have against amazing mountain backdrops. Ski in and out, grab a drink, and join the party.
A silent disco has one noticeable difference from a normal party - there’s no music!

That is until you put on your headphones to hear two first-class DJs playing an eclectic mix of tunes to have you stomping your feet, shaking and shimmying the day away.

All you need to do is pick your channel and choose your side as your DJs battle it out over separate wireless channels.
And no one can even hear how bad your singing is as you belt it out to your favourite tunes.

The Original Silent Disco crew always bring a mountain of fun.

“Ever had an eargasm before?” – The Skinny
